Sanaka
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It marks the formal beginning of Sanaka’s authoritative instruction on Kali-yuga dharma, framing it as guidance meant for the welfare of all beings and to be presented accurately and in detail.
Though it does not name a specific bhakti practice, it sets the teaching context: Kali-yuga dharma is to be taught as a practical, accessible spiritual path—typically expressed in the Purana through devotion-centered observances and conduct.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; it functions as a preface announcing a systematic exposition of Kali-yuga duties.
