Adhyaya 49 — Cosmic Dissolution
वृक्षांस् ताः पर्यगृह्णन्त ममत्वाविष्टचेतसः ।
नेशुस् तेनापचारेण तेऽपि तासां महीरुहाः ॥
vṛkṣāṃs tāḥ paryagṛhṇanta mamatvāviṣṭa-cetasaḥ | neśus tenāpacāreṇa te 'pi tāsāṃ mahīruhāḥ ||
‘माझे’ या भावनेने ग्रासलेल्या मनाने त्यांनी त्या वृक्षांवर हक्क सांगून ते हस्तगत करायला सुरुवात केली. आणि ते महान वृक्ष त्या दुष्कृत्याने दुखावून संतप्त होऊनही आक्रोश करू लागले.
