Adhyaya 48 — The Emanation of Beings from Brahma: Night, Day, Twilight, and the Orders of Creation
जज्ञिरे पिबतो वाचं गन्धर्वास्तेन ते स्मृताः ।
अष्टास्वेतासु सृष्टासु देवयोनिषु स प्रभुः ॥
jajñire pibato vācaṃ gandharvās tena te smṛtāḥ | aṣṭāsv etāsu sṛṣṭāsu devayoniṣu sa prabhuḥ ||
तो वाणी जणू ‘पिऊन’ ते जन्मले; म्हणून ते ‘गंधर्व’ म्हणून स्मरणात आहेत. या आठ दिव्य योनी (वर्ग) निर्माण झाल्यावर, भगवान् यथाक्रम पुढे प्रवृत्त झाला.
