Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
उपरागे परं स्नानमृते दिनमुदाहृतम् ।
अपमृज्यान्न चास्नातो गात्राण्यंबरपाणिभिः ॥
uparāge paraṃ snānam ṛte dinam udāhṛtam | apamṛjyān na cāsnāto gātrāṇy ambarapāṇibhiḥ ||
उपराग (ग्रहण) काळी स्नान परम पुण्य सांगितले आहे; परंतु निषिद्ध दिवशी (शास्त्रानुसार) ते वर्ज्य करावे. स्नानानंतर शरीर पुसावे; ज्याने स्नान केले नाही त्याने वस्त्र व हातांनी अंग पुसू नये.
