उपवीतमलङ्कारं करकञ्चैव वर्जयेत् ।
चतुर्दश्यां तथाष्टम्यां पञ्चदश्याञ्च पर्वसु ॥
upavītam alaṅkāraṃ karakañ caiva varjayet |
caturdaśyāṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ pañcadaśyāñ ca parvasu ||
चतुर्दशी, अष्टमी व पौर्णिमा तसेच व्रत‑उत्सवाच्या दिवशी यज्ञोपवीताचे प्रदर्शन, दागिने व कंकणे धारण करणे टाळावे।
