Sanskrit

यतस्ते विमुखा यान्ति निःश्वस्य गृहेधिनः ।

तस्मादिष्टश्च पूर्तश्च धामौ द्वावपि नश्यतः ॥

Transliteration

yataste vimukhā yānti niśvasya gṛhamedhinaḥ / tasmādiṣṭaśca pūrtaśca dhamau dvāvapi naśyataḥ

Translation

त्या प्रेत-श्वासामुळे गृहस्थ पितर विमुख होतात; म्हणून इष्ट (यज्ञादि) व पूर्त (कूप-तळे इत्यादी लोकहित) — ही दोन्ही फलरूप धामे नष्ट होतात।
