ततो गार्हस्थ्यमास्थाय चेष्ट्वा यज्ञाननुत्तमान् ।
इष्टमुत्पादयापत्यमाश्रयेथा वनं ततः ॥
tato gārhasthyam āsthāya ceṣṭvā yajñān anuttamān | iṣṭam utpādaya apatyam āśrayethā vanaṃ tataḥ ||
त्यानंतर गृहस्थाश्रमात प्रवेश करून, अनुत्तम यज्ञांचे अनुष्ठान करून, इच्छित संतती उत्पन्न करून, पुढे वनाचा आश्रय घ्यावा (म्हणजे वानप्रस्थाश्रम स्वीकारावा)।
