युधिष्ठिर म्हणाला—माझ्या पित्याच्या दोन पत्नी होत्या—कुंती आणि माद्री. माझा दृढ विचार असा की त्या दोघीही पुत्रवतीच राहाव्यात.

Yudhiṣṭhira reflects on his father Pāṇḍu’s two wives—Kuntī and Mādrī—and expresses his firm wish that both be regarded as mothers who are ‘with sons,’ i.e., that both maternal lines be acknowledged and remain fulfilled through their children.
