ददाति कस्मैचिदनरह्ते तनुं वराज्यपूर्णामिव भस्मनि खुचम्‌ | पुरा तुषाग्नाविव हूयते हवि: पुरा श्मशाने स्रगिवापविद्धयते

Transliteration

dadāti kasmaicid anarhate tanuṁ varājyapūrṇām iva bhasmani khucam | purā tuṣāgnāv iva hūyate haviḥ purā śmaśāne srag ivāpavidhyate

Translation

वैशंपायन म्हणाले— अयोग्याला दान देणे म्हणजे जणू राजलेपाने भरलेले पात्र राखेत ओतणे. ते तुसाच्या आगीत हवि अर्पण करण्यासारखे; स्मशानात माळ टाकण्यासारखे आहे.
