स्कन्दोपाख्यानम् — उत्पातशान्तिः, स्वाहारूपविचारः, कौमारमङ्गलक्रियाः
स्वयं च स्नापयाम्येतौ तथा पादौ प्रधावये । आहारं च प्रयच्छामि स्वयं च द्विजसत्तम,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! मैं स्वयं ही इन्हें नहलाता हूँ, इनके चरण धोता हूँ और स्वयं ही भोजन परोसकर इन्हें जिमाता हूँ
svayaṃ ca snāpayāmy etau tathā pādau pradhāvaye | āhāraṃ ca prayacchāmi svayaṃ ca dvijasattama ||
द्विजश्रेष्ठ! मी स्वतःच या दोघांना स्नान घालतो, त्यांचे पाय धुतो; आणि स्वतःच अन्न देऊन परोसतो व त्यांना जेवू घालतो।
