स्कन्दोपाख्यानम् — उत्पातशान्तिः, स्वाहारूपविचारः, कौमारमङ्गलक्रियाः
एतदर्थ मम प्राणा भार्या पुत्र: सुहृज्जन: । सपुत्रदार: शुश्रूषां नित्यमेव करोम्यहम्,मेरे प्राण, स्त्री, पुत्र, और सुहृद् सब इन्हींकी सेवाके लिये हैं। मैं स्त्री और पुत्रोंके साथ प्रतिदिन इन्हींकी शुश्रूषामें लगा रहता हूँ
etadartha mama prāṇā bhāryā putraḥ suhṛj-janaḥ | sa-putra-dāraḥ śuśrūṣāṃ nityam eva karomy aham ||
याच हेतूसाठी माझे प्राण, माझी पत्नी, माझा पुत्र आणि माझे सुहृद्जन आहेत. पत्नी-पुत्रांसह मी दररोज नित्यच यांची शुश्रूषा करीत असतो.
व्याध उवाच
That dharma can be lived through unwavering, respectful service and responsibility within one’s household; even one’s life and relationships are to be directed toward steady duty (śuśrūṣā) rather than self-indulgence.
The hunter (Vyādha) explains his way of life: he says his very life, along with his wife, children, and well-wishers, is dedicated to daily service—presenting his domestic routine as a conscious practice of righteousness.
