ततः खड्गांस्त्रिशूलांश्व॒ तोमरांश्व सहस्रश: । अस्त्रवीर्येण शतधा तैर्मुक्तानहमच्छिदम्,तब उस अस्त्रके प्रभावसे मैंने दैत्योंके चलाये हुए सहस्रों खड़्ग, त्रिशूल और तोमरोंके सौ-सौ टुकड़े कर डाले
tataḥ khaḍgāṁs triśūlāṁś ca tomarāṁś ca sahasraśaḥ | astravīryeṇa śatadhā tair muktān aham acchidam ||
मग त्या अस्त्रवीर्याच्या प्रभावाने दैत्यांनी फेकलेले हजारो खड्ग, त्रिशूल आणि तोमर मी शेकडो तुकड्यांत फोडून टाकले. रणांगणात ही माझी संयमित कुशलता होती—आंधळा क्रोध नव्हे, तर नियंत्रित कौशल्य—ज्याने येणारी हिंसा निष्फळ करून माझा हेतू सुरक्षित ठेवला.
