The Restraint of the Vindhya
Agastya’s Injunction
teḍabhigamya namaskṛtya vaikuṇṭham aparājitam | tato devāḥ samastās te tadocur madhusūdanam ||

The verse highlights a dharmic etiquette: one should approach the worthy with humility (namaskāra) before speaking, especially when seeking guidance. It also suggests that counsel on cosmic or ethical matters is best offered with reverence and a sense of shared duty.
The assembled gods approach the Lord—called Vaikuṇṭha and Aparājita—bow to him, and then collectively address Madhusūdana (Kṛṣṇa/Viṣṇu), preparing to present a request or consultation within the unfolding events of the Vana Parva.
