अत्रामृतं सुरै: पीत्वा निहित॑ निहतारिभि: । अत: सोमस्य हानिश्च वृद्धिश्वैव प्रदृश्यते
atrāmṛtaṃ suraiḥ pītvā nihitaṃ nihatāribhiḥ | ataḥ somasya hāniś ca vṛddhiś caiva pradṛśyate ||
याच ठिकाणी देवांनी शत्रूंचा संहार करून अमृत प्राशन केले आणि उरलेले अमृत इथेच ठेवले. म्हणूनच सोमामध्ये क्षय आणि वृद्धि—दोन्ही दिसून येतात.
