अहापयन् पाण्डवार्थ यथाव- च्छमं कुरूणां यदि चाचरेयम् | पुण्यं च मे स्थाच्चरितं महात्मन् मुच्येरंश्न कुरवो मृत्युपाशात्
apāyan pāṇḍavārthaṃ yathāvacchamaṃ kurūṇāṃ yadi cācareyam | puṇyaṃ ca me syāc caritaṃ mahātman mucyeran kuravo mṛtyupāśāt ||
महात्मन्! पांडवांच्या योग्य हिताला बाधा न आणता जर मी कौरव व पांडव यांच्यात यथायोग्य संधी घडवू शकलो, तर माझे हे आचरण महान् पुण्यकर्म ठरेल; आणि कौरवही मृत्युपाशातून मुक्त होतील।
