गोमत्यास्त्वेष पुलिने त्वददर्शनसमुत्सुक: । आसीनो वर्तयन ब्रह्म ब्राह्मण: संशितव्रत:
gomatyāstv eṣa puline tvad-adarśana-samutsukaḥ | āsīno vartayan brahma brāhmaṇaḥ saṃśita-vrataḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—गोमती नदीच्या वाळूच्या तीरावर कठोर व्रत पाळणारे एक ब्राह्मण बसले आहेत. ते वेदमंत्रांचे पारायण करीत तुमच्या दर्शनासाठी अत्यंत उत्सुक आहेत.
