जनमेजय उवाच एवं बहुविध॑ धर्म प्रतिबुद्धैर्निषिवितम् । न कुर्वन्ति कथं विप्रा अन्ये नानाव्रते स्थिता:
Janamejaya uvāca: evaṁ bahuvidhaṁ dharmaṁ pratibuddhair niṣevitam | na kurvanti kathaṁ viprā anye nānāvrate sthitāḥ ||
जनमेजय म्हणाला—मुने! अनेक प्रकारच्या सद्गुणांनी युक्त असा हा धर्म जागृत व विवेकी जन आचरतात; मग नाना व्रतांत गुंतलेले इतर ब्राह्मण याचे आचरण का करीत नाहीत?
