स एव ह्ृदि सर्वासु मूर्तिष्वातिष्ठते55त्मवान्‌ । केवलश्वैतनो नित्य: सर्वमूर्तिरमूर्तिमान्‌,जो अद्वितीय, चेतन, नित्य, सर्वस्वरूप, निराकार एवं सबके आत्मा हैं, वे परम पुरुष परमात्मा ही समस्त शरीरोंके हृदयदेशमें निवास करते हैं

sa eva hṛdi sarvāsu mūrtiṣv ātiṣṭhate ’tmavān | kevalaś caitano nityaḥ sarvamūrtir amūrtimān ||

वसिष्ठ म्हणाले—तोच परमात्मा सर्व देहधारी मूर्तींच्या हृदयात आत्मरूपाने अधिष्ठित असतो. तो एकमेव, शुद्ध चैतन्य, नित्य आहे; सर्व रूपांत प्रकट होत असूनही स्वतः निराकार—सर्वांचा अंतरात्मा.
