तत्र तान् प्रवहो वायु: प्रतिगृह्लाति भारत । वीतरागान् यतीन् सिद्धान् वीर्ययुक्तांस्तपोधनान्
tatra tān pravaho vāyuḥ pratigṛhlāti bhārata | vītarāgān yatīn siddhān vīryayuktāṁs tapodhanān ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—हे भारत! तेथे ‘प्रवह’ नावाच्या वायूचा अधिष्ठाता देव, त्या वीतराग, संयमी, सिद्ध, तेजस्वी व तपोधन यतींना सूर्याच्या अधिकारातून आपल्या अधिकारात स्वीकारतो.
भीष्म उवाच
Detachment and disciplined ascetic practice elevate a person’s post-mortem course: perfected, passionless renouncers are ‘received’ by higher cosmic agencies, indicating that spiritual attainment aligns one with subtler, superior realms rather than ordinary destinations.
Bhīṣma describes a cosmological process: in a particular region/phase, the Pravaha wind-deity takes charge of accomplished ascetics—vītarāga yatis and siddhas—signifying their transition under a higher divine jurisdiction.
