न ते चालयितुं शक्‍या धर्मव्यापारकारिण: । न तेषां भिद्यते वृत्तं यत्पुरा साधुभि: कृतम्‌

Transliteration

na te cālayituṁ śakyā dharmavyāpārakāriṇaḥ | na teṣāṁ bhidyate vṛttaṁ yat pūrā sādhubhiḥ kṛtam ||

Translation

भीष्म म्हणाले—जे धर्माच्या आचरणात रत असतात, त्यांना सत्कर्मापासून ढळविता येत नाही. त्यांचे आचरण तुटत नाही; पूर्वीच्या साधुजनांनी जो सदाचार पाळला, त्याचाच तेही अनुकरण करतात, आणि तो श्रेष्ठ अनुशासन त्यांच्या ठायी कधीही नष्ट होत नाही।
