सर्वोपकारिणो वीरा: सर्वधधर्मानुपालका: । सर्वभूतहिताश्ैव सर्वदेयाश्न भारत
sarvopakāriṇo vīrāḥ sarvadharmānupālakāḥ | sarvabhūtahitāś caiva sarvade(y)āś ca bhārata bharatanandana ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—भरतनंदना! खरे वीर सर्वांचे उपकारकर्ते, सर्व धर्मांचे पालनकर्ते आणि सर्व प्राण्यांचे हितचिंतक असतात. परहितासाठी ते आपले सर्वस्वही अर्पण करण्यास सिद्ध असतात।
