लीन: स तस्य गात्रेषु पलितो देशकालवित् । चिच्छेद पाशान् नृपते कालापेक्षी शनै: शनै:
līnaḥ sa tasya gātreṣu palito deśa-kāla-vit | ciccheda pāśān nṛpate kālāpekṣī śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ||
मांजराच्या देहाला लागून लपलेला देश-काल जाणणारा धूसर उंदीर पलित योग्य वेळेची वाट पाहत राहिला; संकट येण्याची चाहूल घेत, हे राजन्, तो हळूहळू फासांच्या दोऱ्या कुरतडून कापू लागला।
