धृतराष्ट उवाच किमर्थ तप्यसे पुत्र श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वत: । श्र॒ुत्वा त्वामनुनेष्यामि यदि सम्यग्‌ भविष्यति

Transliteration

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca kimarthaṁ tapyase putra śrotum icchāmi tattvataḥ | śrutvā tvām anuneṣyāmi yadi samyag bhaviṣyati ||

Translation

धृतराष्ट्र म्हणाले—“पुत्रा, तू कशासाठी असा संतप्त होतोस? मला याचे सत्य स्वरूप नीट ऐकायचे आहे. ऐकून जर योग्य वाटले, तर मी तुला समजावून धीर देण्याचा प्रयत्न करीन.”
