बभूवामर्षितो राजा वध॑ चास्य व्यरोचयत्‌ । सियारकी यह चपलता सुनकर शेर गुस्सेसे भर गया। उससे यह बात सही नहीं गयी; अतः मृगराजने उसका वध करनेका ही विचार कर लिया

Transliteration

babhūvāmṛṣito rājā vadhaṃ cāsya vyarocayat |

Translation

सियाराची ही चपळता ऐकून राजा (मृगराज) क्रोधाने भरून गेला; ही गोष्ट त्याला सहन झाली नाही, म्हणून त्याने त्याचा वध करण्याचाच विचार केला.
