सिद्धदेवर्षिदयितं नाम्ना बदरपाचनम् | “तब विशाल एवं अरुण नेत्रोंवाली अरुन्धतीने सप्तर्षियोंकी सभामें महादेवजीसे कहा --“भगवान् यदि मुझपर प्रसन्न हैं तो यह स्थान बदरपाचन नामसे प्रसिद्ध होकर सिद्धों और देवर्षियोंका प्रिय एवं अद्भुत तीर्थ हो जाय ।। तथास्मिन् देवदेवेश त्रिरात्रमुषित: शुचि:
siddhadevarṣidayitaṃ nāmnā badarapācanam | tathāsmin devadeveśa trirātram uṣitaḥ śuciḥ |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— ते स्थान ‘बदरपाचन’ या नावाने प्रसिद्ध झाले; सिद्ध व देवर्षींना ते अत्यंत प्रिय होते. आणि हे देवदेवेश! तेथे तो शुचि पुरुष तीन रात्री निवास करून त्या अद्भुत तीर्थाची पवित्रता व कीर्ती दृढ करून गेला.
