Vaiśampāyana uvāca | śṛṇu mātṛgaṇān rājan kumārānucarān imān | kīrtyamānān mayā vīra sapatnagaṇasūdanān ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—वीर नरेशा! ऐक; कुमार (स्कंद/कार्तिकेय) यांच्या अनुचरी असलेल्या या मातृकागणांची नावे मी सांगतो. मी ज्या कीर्तितो, त्या शत्रुगणांचा संहार करणाऱ्या आहेत.
