Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)

त्रिशिखां भ्रुकुटीं कृत्वा सक्किणी परिसंलिहन्‌,वह भौंहोंको तीन जगहसे टेढ़ी करके अपने गलफरोंको चाटने लगा और सुरथकी ओर रोषपूर्वक देखकर धनुषकी प्रत्यंचाकों साफ करके उसने यमदण्डके समान तेजस्वी तीखे नाराचका प्रहार किया

triśikhāṃ bhrukuṭīṃ kṛtvā sakkiṇī pariśaṃlihan, sa bhauṃhōṃko trijagahase ṭeṛhī karke apane galapharoṃko cāṭane lagā, aura surathakī ora roṣapūrvaka dekhakar dhanuṣkī pratyañcākoṃ sāpha karke usane yamadaṇḍa-samāna tejasvī tīkṣṇa nārācaka prahāra kiyā

संजय म्हणाला—त्याने भुवया तीन ठिकाणी वाकड्या करून त्रिशिखा भ्रुकुटी केली, ओठ चाटीत क्रोधाने सुरथाकडे रोखून पाहिले. मग धनुष्याची प्रत्यंचा नीट पुसून ताणून, यमदंडासारखा तेजस्वी, तीक्ष्ण नाराच सोडला.
