भीमस्य वाहाग्रयमुदारवेगं समनन्ततो बाणगणैर्निजषघ्नु: । तत: शरानापततो महात्मा चिच्छेद बाणैस्तपनीयपुड्खै:
bhīmasya vāhāgrayam udāravegaṃ samanantato bāṇagaṇair nijaṣaghnur | tataḥ śarān āpatato mahātmā ciccheda bāṇais tapanīya-puṅkhaiḥ ||
संजय म्हणाला—ते सर्व बाजूंनी बाणवृष्टी करून भीमाच्या अतिवेगवान श्रेष्ठ रथ-समूहावर प्रहार करू लागले. तेव्हा महामनस्वी भीमसेनाने येऊन पडणारे ते बाण सुवर्णपंखी बाणांनी छेदून टाकले.
