याचितो<सि पुरा राजन्‌ दाशार्हैण शमं प्रति । नच तं लब्धवान्‌ काम॑ त्वत्त: कृष्णो महायशा:

yācito ’si purā rājan dāśārheṇa śamaṃ prati | na ca taṃ labdhavān kāmaṃ tvattaḥ kṛṣṇo mahāyaśāḥ ||

संजय म्हणाला—राजन्, पूर्वी दाशार्हवंशी महायशस्वी श्रीकृष्णांनी शांतिसाठी तुमची विनंती केली होती; पण तुमच्याकडून त्यांची ती इच्छा पूर्ण झाली नाही.
