भीष्मस्य अप्रतिमपराक्रमः — शिखण्डिपुरस्कृतः प्रहारः
Bhīṣma’s unmatched momentum and the assault with Śikhaṇḍin in the lead
त्वरमाणो महाराज सौमदत्तिन्यवारयत् । महाराज! भीमसेन भी अत्यन्त क्रोधमें भरकर गंगानन्दन भीष्मका वध करना चाहते थे; परंतु सोमदत्तपुत्र भूरिश्रवाने तुरंत आकर उन्हें आगे बढ़नेसे रोक दिया

संजय म्हणाला—महाराज, तो धावून पुढे जात असता सोमदत्तपुत्राने त्याला आडवले. भीमसेनही प्रचंड क्रोधाने भरून गंगानंदन भीष्माचा वध करण्यास धावला; पण सोमदत्तपुत्र भूरिश्रवाने तत्काळ पुढे येऊन त्याचा उग्र वेग रोखला.
