Parīkṣit-janma-saṃkaṭa and Kuntī’s petition to Vāsudeva (परिक्षिज्जन्मसंकटं कुन्त्याः प्रार्थना च)
प्रीतिमान् स कुरुश्रेष्ठ खानयामास तद् धनम् | वहाँ उन्होंने नाना प्रकारके विचित्र फूल
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | prītimān sa kuruśreṣṭhaḥ khānayāmāsa tad dhanam |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—अंतःकरणाने प्रसन्न झालेला कुरुश्रेष्ठ राजा युधिष्ठिर त्या धनाचे उत्खनन करवू लागला. तेथे नाना प्रकारच्या विचित्र पुष्पांनी, मालपुआ व खिचडी इत्यादींनी धनपती कुबेराची पूजा करून त्यांना प्रणाम-अभिवादन केले. नंतर त्याच सामग्रीने शंखादी निधी व सर्व निधिपालांचे पूजन करून श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणांचीही पूजा केली. पुढे ब्राह्मणांकडून स्वस्तिवाचन करून, त्यांच्या पुण्याहघोषाने तेजस्वी होऊन, तो आनंदाने त्या धनाचे उत्खनन करवू लागला.
