अम्बरीषगाथा—गुणत्रयविभागः तथा लोभनिग्रहः
Ambarīṣa’s Gāthā: The Guṇas and the Restraint of Greed
स तैर्गुणैः संहतदेहबन्धन: पुन: पुनर्जायति कर्म चेहते । जन्मक्षये भिन्नविकीर्णदेहो मृत्युं पुनर्गच्छति जन्मनैव
sa tair guṇaiḥ saṃhatadeha-bandhanaḥ punaḥ punar jāyati karma cehate | janma-kṣaye bhinna-vikīrṇa-deho mṛtyuṃ punaḥ gacchati janmanā eva ||
त्या गुणांनी देहबंधनात घट्ट बांधला जाऊन तो पुन्हा पुन्हा जन्म घेतो आणि येथे कर्मातच प्रवृत्त राहतो. जन्माची मुदत संपल्यावर देहाचे तत्त्व वेगवेगळे होऊन विखुरतात आणि तो मृत्यूला प्राप्त होतो; आणि त्याच प्रक्रियेमुळे तो पुन्हा जन्म-मृत्यूच्या फेर्यात पडतो.
