एको विड्वर्ण एवाथ तथात्रैवोपलक्षित: । षडपध्वंसजास्ते हि तथैवासपदान् शृणु
eko viḍvarṇa evātha tathātraivopalakṣitaḥ | ṣaḍapadhvaṃsajāste hi tathaivāsapadān śṛṇu ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—येथेही एक मिश्र वर्ण विशेषत्वाने दर्शविला आहे. खरे तर, याच प्रकरणात हे सहा ‘अपध्वंसज’ (अनुलोम-संतान) सांगितले आहेत. आता ‘अपसद’—म्हणजे प्रतिलोम संयोगातून जन्मलेले—यांचे वर्णन ऐक.
