यह तीर्थ-सेवनका कार्य परम पवित्र, पुण्यप्रद, स्वर्गकी प्राप्तिका सर्वोत्तम साधन और वेदोंका गुप्त रहस्य है। प्रत्येक तीर्थ पावन और स्नानके योग्य होता है ।।
idaṃ dadyād dvijātīnāṃ sādhōr ātma-hitasya ca | suhṛdāṃ ca japet karṇe śiṣyasyānugatasya ca ||
तीर्थसेवनाचे हे कर्म परम पवित्र, पुण्यदायक, स्वर्गप्राप्तीचे सर्वोत्तम साधन आणि वेदांचे गूढ रहस्य आहे; प्रत्येक तीर्थ पावन व स्नानयोग्य आहे. हे तीर्थमाहात्म्य द्विजांना, आत्महित साधणाऱ्या साधुपुरुषाला, सुहृदांना आणि अनुशासन पाळणाऱ्या अनुगत शिष्याच्या कानातच गुप्तपणे सांगावे.
