भीष्म उवाच अष्टावक्रोडन्वपृच्छत्‌ तां रूपं विकुरुषे कथम्‌ | नचानृतं ते वक्तव्यं ब्रूहि ब्राह्मणगकाम्यया

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca: aṣṭāvakro ’nvapṛcchat tāṃ rūpaṃ vikuruṣe katham | na cānṛtaṃ te vaktavyaṃ brūhi brāhmaṇagakāmyayā ||

Translation

भीष्म म्हणाले—राजन्! अष्टावक्राने त्या स्त्रीला विचारले—“तू वारंवार आपले रूप का बदलतेस? आणि जर माझ्यासारख्या ब्राह्मणाचा मान व स्वीकार तुला हवा असेल, तर असत्य बोलू नकोस; सत्य सांग।”
