त॑ ममानुग्रहकृते दातुमर्हस्यनिन्दित । अनुशासन्तु मां सनन््तो मिथ्योद्वृत्तं त्वदाश्रयम्
taṁ mamānugrahakṛte dātum arhasy anindita | anuśāsantu māṁ santaḥ mithyodvṛttaṁ tvadāśrayam ||
भीष्म म्हणाला—“हे अनिंद्य! माझ्यावर कृपा करण्यासाठी हा वर देणे तुम्हास योग्य आहे. कधी मी तुमचा आश्रय घेऊन असत्य व कुटिल आचरणाकडे वळलो, तर सत्पुरुषांनी मला उपदेश करून सुधारावे व सन्मार्गावर आणावे.”
