महेन्द्रगुरव: सप्त प्राचीं वै दिशमाश्रिता: । प्रयत: कीर्तयेदेतान् शक्रलोके महीयते
mahendraguravaḥ sapta prācīṃ vai diśam āśritāḥ | prayataḥ kīrtayed etān śakraloke mahīyate ||
महेन्द्राचे गुरु म्हणून प्रसिद्ध असे सात महर्षी पूर्व दिशेत निवास करतात. जो पुरुष संयमी व शुद्धचित्त होऊन श्रद्धेने त्यांची नावे कीर्तन करतो, तो शक्राच्या (इंद्राच्या) लोकात मान-प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त करतो.
