अतः: पर प्रवक्ष्यामि लोकानां कर्मसाक्षिण:
ataḥ paraṃ pravakṣyāmi lokānāṃ karmasākṣiṇaḥ
म्हणून आता मी लोकांच्या कर्मांचे साक्षी असलेल्या देवतांचे वर्णन करतो. ते अदृश्य राहूनही सर्व प्राण्यांची शुभाशुभ कर्मे सतत पाहतात आणि यज्ञ, दान व सुकृत यांचे तत्त्व जाणतात. त्यांची नावे—मृत्यू, काळ, विश्वेदेव आणि मूर्तिमान पितर. यांशिवाय तपस्वी मुनी तसेच तप व मोक्षात निष्ठ असलेले सिद्ध महर्षीही सर्व जगाकडे हितदृष्टीने पाहतात. हे सर्व आपल्या नामकीर्तन करणाऱ्या मनुष्यांना शुभ फल देतात.
