विश्वमूर्तिमहामूर्तिदीप्तमूर्तिरमूर्तिमान् । अनेकमूर्तिरिव्यक्त: शतमूर्ति: शतानन:
viśvamūrtimahāmūrtidīptamūrtiramūrtimān | anekamūrtiravyaktaḥ śatamūrtiḥ śatānanaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—ज्यांची मूर्ती हे अखिल विश्वच आहे, ते विराट् पुरुष; ते महारूप, तेजस्वी रूप, आणि तरीही निराकार. प्राणिमात्रांच्या हितासाठी ते अनेक रूपे धारण करतात, पण त्यांचे खरे स्वरूप पूर्णपणे व्यक्त होऊ शकत नाही. ते जणू शेकडो रूपे आणि शेकडो मुखे धारण करणारे—असीम प्रकटता असलेले आहेत.
