भूतावासो वासुदेव: सर्वासुनिलयोडनल: । दर्पहा दर्पदो दृप्तो दुर्धरोडथापराजित:
bhūtāvāso vāsudevaḥ sarvāsunilayo 'nalaḥ | darpahā darpado dṛpto durdharo 'thāparājitaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो सर्व भूतांचा निवास आहे; तो वासुदेव, जो जगत् व्यापून आच्छादित करतो. तो सर्व प्राण्यांच्या प्राणांचा आधार आहे आणि ‘अनल’—अपरिमित सामर्थ्यवान. अधर्ममार्गींचा दर्प तो नष्ट करतो; भक्तांना शुद्ध उत्साह व उन्नती देतो; तो नित्य आनंदमग्न, हृदयात धारण करणे कठीण, तरीही कोणाकडूनही अजिंक्य आहे.
