जीवो विनयितासाक्षी मुकुन्दोडमितविक्रम: । अम्भोनिधिरनन्तात्मा महोदधिशयो<5न्तक:
bhīṣma uvāca | jīvo vinayitāsākṣī mukundo 'mitavikramaḥ | ambhonidhir anantātmā mahodadhiśayo 'ntakaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो जीवस्वरूप अंतर्यामी; शरणागत भक्ताच्या विनयभावाचा प्रत्यक्ष साक्षी; मुकुंद—मुक्तिदाता; अमितविक्रम—अपरिमित पराक्रमवान। तो अम्भोनिधि—समुद्रस्वरूप; अनंतात्मा—अनंत रूपांचा; प्रलयकाळी महोदधीवर शयन करणारा; आणि अंतक—मृत्युस्वरूप, प्राण्यांचा संहारकही आहे।
