Transliteration

aśokas tāraṇas tāraḥ śūraḥ śaurir janeśvaraḥ | anukūlaḥ śatāvartaḥ padmī padmanibhekṣaṇaḥ ||

Translation

भीष्म म्हणाले—तो अशोक, सर्व शोकांपासून मुक्त; तारण, जो संसारसागर पार नेतो; आणि तार, जो जन्म-जरा-मृत्यूच्या भयातून सोडवतो। तो शूर; शौरी (वसुदेवपुत्र); जनेश्वर, सर्व जीवांचा स्वामी। तो अनुकूल, अंतर्यामी आत्मा म्हणून सर्वांचा हितैषी; शतावर्त, धर्मरक्षणासाठी शेकडो अवतार घेणारा; पद्मी, कमलधारी; आणि पद्मनिभेक्षण, कमलासारखी कोमल दृष्टी असलेला।
