लोकाध्यक्ष: सुराध्यक्षो धर्माध्यक्ष: कृताकृत: । चतुरात्मा चतुर्व्यूहश्चतुर्दष्ट श्चतुर्भुज:
lokādhyakṣaḥ surādhyakṣo dharmādhyakṣaḥ kṛtākṛtaḥ | caturātmā caturvyūhaś caturdaṃṣṭraś caturbhujaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो लोकाध्यक्ष—समस्त लोकांचा अधिपती; सुराध्यक्ष—देवांचा अध्यक्ष; धर्माध्यक्ष—धर्म-अधर्माचा निर्णायक, कृत-अकृतानुसार योग्य फल देणारा. तो कृताकृत—कार्यरूपाने कृत आणि कारणरूपाने अकृत. तो चतुरात्मा—चार स्वरूपांचा; चतुर्व्यूह—चार व्यूहांत प्रकट; चतुर्दंष्ट्र—चार दाढांचा रक्षक-स्वरूप; आणि चतुर्भुज—वैकुण्ठवासी चतुर्भुज भगवान विष्णु।
भीष्म उवाच
