गुरु चाभिगतं प्रेम्णा गुरुवन्न बुभूषते । अभिमानप्रवृत्तेन लोभेन समवस्थिता:

Transliteration

guruṁ cābhigataṁ premṇā guruvan na bubhūṣate | abhimāna-pravṛttena lobhena samavasthitāḥ |

Translation

गुरू आल्यावर ते प्रेमपूर्वक त्यांची पूजा करत नाहीत—त्यांना गुरुवत् मान देऊ इच्छित नाहीत. अभिमानातून उद्भवलेल्या लोभात स्थित राहून ते मान्यजनांचा अपमान करतात आणि मोठ्या-बुजुर्गांचा तिरस्कार करतात.
