न कुट्यां नोदके सड़्ो न वाससि न चासने । न त्रिदण्डे न शयने नाग्नौ न शरणालये
na kuṭyāṃ nodake saṅgo na vāsasi na cāsane | na tridaṇḍe na śayane nāgnau na śaraṇālaye ||
महादेव म्हणाले—मोक्षाची इच्छा असलेल्या पुरुषाने कुटी, पाणी, वस्त्र व आसन यांमध्ये आसक्ती ठेवू नये; त्रिदंडातही नाही, शय्येत नाही, पवित्र अग्नीत नाही आणि कोणत्याही आश्रयस्थानीही नाही. मोक्षसाधकाने संन्यासजीवनाशी संबंधित बाह्य आधारांवरची ममता व अवलंबनभावना सुद्धा सोडावी.
