सर्वभूतदया धर्मो न चैकग्रामवासिता । आशापाशविमोक्षश्न शस्यते मोक्षकाड्क्षिणाम्‌

Transliteration

sarvabhūtadayā dharmo na caikagrāmavāsitā | āśāpāśavimokṣaś ca śasyate mokṣakāṅkṣiṇām ||

Translation

महेश्वर म्हणाले—मोक्षाची आकांक्षा असणाऱ्यांसाठी सर्व प्राण्यांवर दया हाच धर्म आहे. त्यांनी एका गावात किंवा एका ठिकाणीच बांधून राहू नये; आणि आशा व तृष्णेचे पाश तोडण्याचा प्रयत्न करावा. मुमुक्षूंकरिता हेच प्रशंसनीय आचरण आहे.
