Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
त्वया द्वादशवर्षाणि व्रती भूतेन शुष्यता । आराध्य पशुभर्तारें रुक्मिण्यां जनिता: सुता:
tvayā dvādaśa-varṣāṇi vratī bhūtena śuṣyatā | ārādhya paśu-bhartāraṁ rukmiṇyāṁ janitāḥ sutāḥ ||
तू बारा वर्षे व्रतस्थ राहून तपाने देह कृश केला; पशुपती प्रभूची आराधना करून रुक्मिणीच्या गर्भातून पुत्र उत्पन्न झाले.
