उपवासे बलौ चापि ताम्रपात्रं विशिष्यते । बलिकभभिक्षा तथार्घ्य च पितृणां च तिलोदकम्
Baladeva uvāca: upavāse balau cāpi tāmrāpātraṁ viśiṣyate | balikabhikṣā tathārghyaṁ ca pitṝṇāṁ ca tilodakam |
बलदेव म्हणाला—उपवासाचे संकल्प व बली-आदी अर्पण यांत ताम्रपात्र विशेष श्रेष्ठ मानले जाते. पूजेचे उपचार, भिक्षा, अर्घ्य तसेच पितरांसाठी तिळमिश्रित जल ताम्रपात्रातूनच द्यावे; अन्यथा त्याचे फळ अत्यल्प होते. हा अत्यंत गुप्त उपदेश सांगितला आहे. याप्रमाणे केल्यास देवता संतुष्ट होतात.
