Bhaṅgāśvanopākhyāna — On comparative affection in strī–puruṣa union (भङ्गाश्वनोपाख्यानम्)

भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । भंगास्वनेन शक्रस्य यथा वैरमभूत्‌ पुरा,भीष्मजीने कहा--राजन्‌! इस विषयमें भी भंगास्वनके साथ इन्द्रका पहले जो वैर हुआ था, उस प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया जाता है

bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | bhaṅgāśvanena śakrasya yathā vairam abhūt purā ||

भीष्म म्हणाले— “राजन्! या विषयातही लोक एक प्राचीन इतिहासाचा दाखला देतात—पूर्वी भंगास्वन आणि शक्र (इंद्र) यांच्यात वैर कसे उत्पन्न झाले ते।”
