Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
तोयपूर्व प्रदायान्नमतिथि भ्यो विशाम्पते । पश्चाद् भुञज्जीत मेधावी न चाप्यन्यमना नर:
toyapūrvaṃ pradāyānnam atithibhyo viśāmpate | paścād bhuñjīta medhāvī na cāpy anyamanā naraḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—हे प्रजापते! प्रथम अतिथींना जल अर्पण करून मग अन्न द्यावे. त्यानंतरच बुद्धिमान पुरुषाने स्वतः भोजन करावे, आणि भोजन करताना मन विचलित होऊ देऊ नये.
